Our parent nursery associations (PNAs) perform a vital role. Run by each of the nursery managers and attended by parent volunteers, they help our nurseries to be the best they can be, whether through feeding back parental views to our nursery management teams, suggesting changes or improvements to working practices or helping to host community events, e.g. charity fundraisers. We find that many University parents are keen to be involved with what happens within our nurseries and it is great that we are able to take their ideas into account.
We recognise that from time to time, parents may want to share feedback about their child’s nursery experiences with us. If this feedback is specific to a particular child or location, in the first instance, please speak to your child’s keyperson or the setting manager. If you have a suggestion about an event you would like your nursery to run, for example an extra-curricular club or group, please contact your local PNA.

The University's Childcare Steering Group meets termly and aims to support the strategic development of childcare provision within the framework of the Childcare development plan. The group considers and recommends any changes in University childcare policy, as well as receiving and approving the termly Childcare Report. In addition, it receives year end and new year financial budgets (which are subject to the UAS planning and budgeting process, based on the development plans, and must be approved by BSC and PRAC).
