COVID-19

Following the announcement regarding a second national lockdown in England, commencing on Thursday 5th November, we are pleased to confirm that our nurseries will continue to remain open at this time, in order to provide ongoing care and support to our families.
Our nurseries will continue to operate in full compliance with the latest guidance from the Department for Education, NHS and government briefings, together with Bright Horizons comprehensive COVID-19 policies regarding infection control, which you can view here.

 

Short-term childcare

In the current climate, you may be called upon to help with research, step in for colleagues or return to your normal work routine at short notice. To help support you with any short-term childcare that you may need, the Childcare Services team within the University are opening applications for care required between now and December 31st 2020. There are a number of Bright Horizons nurseries that are able to support these care requests.

To discuss your requirements and the availability across these nurseries, please contact childcare@admin.ox.ac.uk. All applications will be considered, including ad-hoc childcare. Payment for shorter-term childcare is payable directly to Bright Horizons.

 

New starters

We are now offering out new places for January starters and, as above, have a limited number of places available for parents who require a short-term nursery placement until the end of December 2020. Please contact the Childcare Services team for further details.
